The AfterLife Broadcast Station (abs)
The Afterlife Broadcast Station (ABS) is an intermedia artistic production organization and television studio. We develop live programming for modern streaming and web broadcast platforms. Our goal is to maintain a centralized production process and aesthetic across the vast landscape of available streaming platforms and exist in a fully realized egalitarian broadcast environment.
Influenced by the classic live broadcasting studios of early television, ABS uses early analog technology in combination with the latest high resolution photographic formats. With an emphasis on electronic and computer graphics from all eras, our process is informed by technology such as NTSC video, Raster video synthesis, electron beams, vector synthesis, scanline manipulation, CRT rescanning, modern computers and generative technology, DSLR 8k cameras, and all manners of electronic sound synthesis.
While our programming includes a seemingly familiar spectrum of societal interests and subjects, we design our broadcast in a manner that is different from any form of existing television. Instead of providing representations of pure human existence found in historic television, we seek to represent the psychological condition of the contemporary world. What this means is that although we offer programs with familiar subject matter such as entertainment, news, pornography, video gaming, and religion, it is quite unlike the way these subjects have been represented at any point in history.

The Avatar Picnic is an exploration into the dark unconscious manifestations of competition. The psychological effects of existing within a competitive economic construct are subtle and not easily understood. Watch as we unpack the baggage of our angry lives with awesome content made with totally bossed out electronic and computer graphics. This mofo lives at the intersection of video games and late stage capitalism - the REAL end of history.
